An African Scientific Institute (ASI) Fellow; World Health Organization (WHO) Scholar Alumnus; and a Health Economist. Dr. Adirieje focuses on ways that development activities affect Diseases and Ill-health, Energy and Environment (biodiversity, ecosystems and climate change), Nutrition and Food Security, Governance, Gender and Human Rights in order to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs), human security and optimum standard of living especially at the community, rural and poor urban levels.

Prof. Olubunmi Ashimolowo

A multi-skilled individual with over twenty-one (21) years post-graduation working experience in the area of extension, research and teaching; An award winner of Council for Development for Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA), Centre Technique de Corporation Agricole et Rurale (CTA)

Professor Olubunmi Ashimolowo is the Head of Department, Agricultural Extension and Rural Development at the Federal University of Agriculture in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Full member, Society for Peace Studies and Practice and African Co-Chair, Rural Women Sociological Association; Chairperson, Gender Development Initiative, and President, Divine Economic Assistance Programme. She has over 50 publications covering diverse research topics.

Dr. Diana Gimba 

Deputy Director, Research and Training,

Dr. Diana Gimba is the Principal Partner of iRadar Data, she leads a team of software developers, researchers and business experts in deploying intelligent data solutions. With over 10 years practical experience in managing performance data in the public sector and NGO businesses, she helps organizations collect data, analyse and use new insight for decision-making purposes.

Her work now brings a new perspective to Result Based Management (RBM) as she continues to use friendly technologies to support evidence-based policies, transparency and accountability in North America, Asia and Africa. Diana brings this resource to the NAE with the hope to transform data issues from rhetoric to practice results.

Dr. Abba Y. Abdullahi 

Director for Advancement

Dr Abba is a homegrown fisheries and natural resource professional who started his working carrier in 1981 in public service in 1981 where he worked in the River Basin Authority as Fisheries Officer and then to Ahmadu Bello University as Lecturer and Fisheries Extension Specialist. He is the Founder and member of Board of Trustees, Association for Educational Development, Growth and Empowerment, (AS-EDGE) and Chairman, Board of Trustees, DAYA Foundation, Katsina State, Nigeria.

He has had consulting experience with the World Bank, Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO), USAID, NEPAD, NEITI, ECOWAS, UNDP, Nigeria Federal and States governments, statutory organisation, private enterprises, etc.He is a Member, Technical Working Group, Monitoring and Evaluation Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for the National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan (NIIMP),

Dr. Abba has attended many conference and study tours in all continents and has twelve major publications to his credit in journals and conference proceedings. Presently, He is the Special Adviser on Agriculture to the Governor, Katsina State, Nigeria from 2015 to date.

Dr. Suleiman Adediran 

Director Programmes

Dr. Suleiman Adediran is a specialist in Education Evaluation, Policy development and Programme design, with over 30 years’ experience in the education sector including more than 25 years working experience with international donors (DFID, UNICEF, UNESCO and the World Bank). He is currently engaged by the World Bank as an Institutional Capacity Analysis Expert for the 2019 Education Sector Analysis (ESA). Dr. Adediran has been involved in nineteen (19) evaluation studies since 2005, the most recent being his engagement in 2018 as an Evaluation Consultant by the DFID-funded EDOREN and the UK-Oxford Policy Management for the Midline Evaluation of UNICEF’s DFID-funded Girls’ Education Project Phase 3.

Dr. Sulleiman Adediran, a Prince of the Alowolodu ruling dynasty of Oyo Alaafin, is an alumnus of some of the highly rated universities at home and abroad. These include: University of Ife, Ile-ife (B.Sc. Geology & M.Sc. Applied Geology), McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada (PhD Environmental Geosciences), and University of Ibadan, Ibadan (PGDE & Masters in Managerial Psychology). He also has certificates from Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) , The World Bank, and University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (in Evaluation Studies and Practice, Genders Studies, Citizens’ Engagements, Child Protection, and Humanitarian Response to Conflict and Disaster).
